Teams
Team participation and fundraising for Children's Wisconsin is at the heart of Briggs & Al's Run & Walk. Form a team with your family, friends, neighbors or coworkers! Encourage one another and raise funds to build a brighter and healthier future for Wisconsin kids. In doing so you help us celebrate current and former patients, known lovingly as Children's Champions.
Even better, teams of 10 or more are eligible to submit a custom backprint for your event T-shirt. Show off your design skills. Learn more below.
HERE'S HOW TO FORM A TEAM:
1. Choose a team name
2. Register as the team captain
Register online by choosing "form a team" from the three options. Once you have created your team, email friends and family through your participant center asking them to join you.
Please note: teams cannot be created after Tuesday, August 9 at 4 p.m.
3. Set a fundraising goal
Remember 100% of proceeds go to helping us help kids! Those who fundraise $250 or more qualify for unique prizes.
4. Recruit team members
Invite family, friends and co-workers to join you. Some of our largest teams have over 300 team members!
5. Submit your team backprint design by Tuesday, August 9 at 4 p.m.
Teams with 10 or more members qualify to have their own team design printed on the back of their event t-shirt free of charge. Your artwork MUST be received by Tuesday, August 9 at 4 p.m. Send your artwork to alsrunbackprint@chw.org and include your team name in the email subject line.
Artwork must meet the following guidelines:
- Black-and-white (no color) electronic artwork only. (PDF, TIFF or JPEG; minimum resolution of 200 dpi)
- Maximum imprint area is 9 inches wide by 11 inches high for teams with a mix of adults and children. Adult-only teams have a maximum imprint area of 12 inches by 12 inches.
- Toddler shirts (size 2-4) are not customized (do not recieve a backprint)
- Children's Champ shirts are not customized (do not recieve a backprint)
NOTE: Some of you will have people join your team after the Tuesday, August 9, 4 p.m. deadline. Those team members will receive their participation t-shirt, without the team backprint, in the mail.
6. Pick up….
We're still determining the details of team packet pickup and will communicate directly with team captains when details become available.
7. Fundraise
The teams that support our kids through Briggs & Al's Run & Walk are a lifeline for the children we serve; 100% of the funds you raise go directly to fund care for kids. We ask all team members to raise at least $250 so individuals can qualify for prizes! Registration fees only cover the cost of the event; it's your fundraising that helps provide care to kids!
