Welcome to My Personal Page
Hello! Thank you so much for stopping by my WFCA All-Star Game fundraising page. This event and the cause it supports mean a lot to me, and I am thrilled that you have decided to take a look.
Why am I doing this?
There are many reasons why I feel honored to be a part of the WFCA All-Star game this year. First, I consider myself blessed to be able to have the opportunity to play football with some of the best high school players in the state: friends, complete strangers, and former rivals alike. Second, I am proud to be able to carry on a family tradition by playing in this game, just as my father and one of my uncles did before me (even though my father was wearing South Red at the time). Finally, and most importantly, this game will allow me to make a difference in the lives of other kids by raising money for Children's Wisconsin.
While, fortunately, my family and I have never had to utilize the services of Children's Wisconsin, I do know several friends and acquaintances who have throughout the years. Most recently, Children's has assisted the family of my athletic directior, coach, and mentor Kevin Wopat, after his youngest daughter suffered various complications shortly after birth in the fall of my sophomore year. Indeed, after seeing how assistance from Children's allowed Coach Wopat to resume near-regular duties during this difficult time, and after knowing how strong of a connection there is between his family and Children's, I have deeply resolved to do my best to help this organization that has done so much for a man who has done so much for me.
In addition, there are many other logical reasons why I believe Children's Wisconsin is an organization deserving of support:
1. Children's has one of the best NICUs in the country, able to care for the most fragile newborns with the most daunting complications.
2. Children's works across the state to help keep kids safe, through both their two hospital locations in Milwaukee and Neenah, and their various preventative medicine programs.
3. Children's is a part of critical research, participating in more than 1,000 active clinical trials.
4. Children's is a non-profit and relies on events like this to pay for the care kids receive.
So, I ask you, not on my own behalf, nor on the behalf of my parents or my school, but on the behalf of the thousands of kids Children's Wisconsin supports each year, to please consider monetarily assisting this organization by clicking the Donate Now button at the top right of this page. Similarly, if you are interested in attending the game, please feel free to contact me, as I have complementary tickets to give away to family and friends.
Thank you, and may God Bless you for your kindness!
