Welcome to Henry's Heroes team page for Al's Run! Teams have a huge impact on the success of Briggs & Al’s Run & Walk and we are glad you are here!
Why are we doing this?
Since Henry came into this world, Children's Hospital has been a part of his life. They are the reason that we have our sweet, rapidly growing boy in our lives. We honestly could never thank them enough for the care and compassion they showed us through some of the most difficult and exhausting weeks of our lives, especially through the state of the world when Henry was born. One small way that we can help is by taking part in Al's Run each year in honor of Henry and his journey. He fought hard those first 7 weeks in the NICU and he continues to fight hard and show us how strong he is each and every day.
Community investment in Wisconsin’s kids has afforded many of Children’s amazing accomplishments and has helped to pave the way for an exciting future. Here is a snapshot of what community support has enabled:
~ Translational research that improves patient care and outcomes and continues to move toward cellular therapies that will eventually prevent disease
~ Countless programs and services that support families and are not reimbursed by Medicaid or other insurance
~ Sustained extraordinary care in our heart program, leading the country with a nationally ranked, outcomes-based program
We would love to grow our team with our family and friends and all of Henry's fans! Whether you live in the area or are far away, you can still participate on Henry's team! We plan to do a walk with those of us in Oostburg on Saturday, September 12th (time TBD) but if you are unable, prefer to not participate, or live far away, you can still be a part of his team and participate on your own! We would love to see pictures and videos using the hashtage #henrysheroes and #alsrun!
