Why am I doing this?
As most people know, my oldest son, Parker was in the NICU at CHW for almost 6 months after he was born. He has had almsot 50 surgical procedures between when he was born and when he turned 7. The most significant surgery was a transplanted kidney that was donated by Lindsay, his mom. Parker is now a healhtly 13 year old, who, aside from having to take immunosuppressent medication, lives a completely normal life. I am running this year to help raise funds to allow CHW to have a similar impact on other families. Allowing children, who might not otherwise be able, to have a normal childhood.
I saved the best for last. Parker agreed that he will be run with me this year!
Your donation paves the way for an exciting future that:
- Drives research to eradicate disease and innovate how we care for kids today and well into the future
- Funds programs and services that help kids cope with illness, injury and trauma inside the walls of our facilities and out in the community
- Transforms the future of mental and behavioral health through early detection, increased access and reduced stigma
I can make a real difference for an organization making a real difference for kids. An organization that has made a HUGE impact in the life of not only my son, but my entire family. If you have it in your heart to help, please donate now.
Thank you!
