In-person registration begins at 8 a.m. at the registration tent. The tent is located near the start line on 16th Street & Wisconsin Avenue, in front of the Alumni Memorial Union. Please note: there are additional registration fees if you chose to register at the event so we recommend registering prior to the event.

Children’s relies on community support to fund the programs and services we provide for kids and families. That’s why individual and team fundraising is such an important part of Briggs & Al’s Run & Walk. 100% of the funds you raise provide critical support for kids and help us prevent and ease the suffering of children.

Kick start your fundraising by making your own personal gift. You can also log in to your participant center for fundraising tools that make it easy to send emails to your friends and family and ask for their support with a donation. Share your story on your personal page and let people know why you are helping us help kids — your story can inspire others to get involved. If you raise more than $100, you qualify to win prizes.

*To qualify for prizes, you must turn in your money at the pledge tent near the start line prior to the run on race day. All fundraising prizes must be picked up that day.

How do we describe the courage and spirit of the kids we serve? We call them Children's Champions.

At Briggs & Al's Run & Walk, our Children's Champions are the guests of honor, and we enjoy giving them the red-carpet treatment! Champions receive free registration and a t-shirt to the event and enjoy an exclusive Champions breakfast while Star Wars characters and Disney princesses mingle in the crowd.

As excitement builds, we invite families and their Children's Champion to stand on a raised platform at the start line, so thousands of runners and walkers can high-five and wave to the kids as they pass.

Every year, we are humbled by the success of this community event. We owe a tremendous debt of gratitude to our 500 volunteers (yes, 500!) who help Briggs & Al's Run & Walk go smoothly for everyone involved.

Interested in being part of the story by volunteering your time? Our volunteers do all kinds of crazy and fun things, from handing out water to shouting times to runners as they pass. Some even guard driveways to help keep everyone safe, and all of them make a difference for kids.

The Health and Fitness Fair takes place as part of the finish line celebration on the Summerfest grounds. This is one of the area’s greatest opportunities to promote your commitment to the community of Milwaukee, while supporting the advancement of healthy lifestyles of everyone in attendance. More than 15,000 participants take part in Briggs & Al’s Run & Walk every year, making the Health and Fitness Fair a great way to reach thousands of potential customers and support a good cause.
